  • Will my baby cry while sleep training?
    During sleep training, it's common to experience some crying. It's important to understand that crying is their way of communicating and adjusting to the changes in their sleep routine. Often, it's a sign that they're learning new self soothing skills and becoming independent sleepers. It's my job to give you gentle methods that align with your parenting values and to support you every step of the way. While some crying is normal, we'll focus on minimizing discomfort and ensuring your baby feels secure and safe.
  • Do you work with clients who bed share or continue to room share with their baby?
    Yes, I do take on clients who bed share and I have managed to effectively communicate with parents and help them understand the risks associated with bed-sharing. Through gradual process centered around trust, comfort, safety, I guided them towards the idea of room sharing. By addressing their concerns and providing them with accurate information, I was able to alleviate their fears. Gradually, on their own, they embraced the idea of transitioning their baby to their own room. My experience with these specific clients only reaffirmed the significance of open communication, mutual trust and the importance of gradual transitions when it comes to parenting decisions.
  • How is Safe and Sound with Jay any different from other sleep consultants?
    Unlike many companies, which often focus on a single method or a standard, one-size-fits-all sleep plan, working with me means your family will be treated as it is as unique and special. My goal is to genuinely help you achieve your goals and not to just have you sign up for my 3 week package. Hence, the reason why my packages are longer than the “standard 2 weeks.” It is because I like to take my time to get to know you and your baby.
